Terms and policies
Written to be read. This is a demonstration: Quoteline is fictional and these policies describe how the service is designed to work, not a contract.
Terms of service
Version 2026-10-15. You accept these when you start a trial; the date and version are recorded with your account.
Trial and billing
- The free trial lasts 30 days. Nothing is charged during it.
- When it ends, the plan you chose starts if a payment method and your business details are on file, and is billed every 30 days in advance. Conversations above the plan's allowance are billed on the next invoice.
- Without a payment method, the account has a 7-day grace period, then pauses. A paused account keeps its records and drafts; the assistant sends nothing on its own until billing is restored.
- Moving up a plan takes effect at once with a prorated charge. Moving down takes effect at the end of the period. Prices are shown before GST, which is added at the prevailing rate.
- You can cancel at any time. A paid period runs to its end. Records are kept for 90 days after cancellation, then deleted.
Your responsibilities
- Your price list, menus, allergen records and policies are yours. Quotes are priced from what you publish; check it before you go live.
- You remain the seller. Quotations, orders and deposits are between you and your buyer.
- You are responsible for having a lawful basis to message the buyers you message, and for honouring opt-outs, which the platform records.
Privacy notice (PDPA)
Under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act, each business on Quoteline is the organisation responsible for its buyers' personal data; Quoteline processes it on the business's behalf. For your own account details we are the organisation responsible.
- What we collect: your name, email, business details and billing details; your buyers' names, contact handles and the messages they send you.
- Why: to run the service you signed up for, to bill you, and to keep the service secure. We do not sell personal data or use your buyers' messages to train models.
- Card details go straight to the payment provider. We keep only the card brand, the last four digits and the expiry.
- Your rights: ask for access, correction or deletion from Plan and billing, or write to our data protection officer at dpo@quoteline.example.
How we use AI
- Language models read buyers' messages, decide what to ask, and write replies. They do not set prices, approve discounts, confirm payments or change records without a person.
- Every reply passes an output guard before it is sent. The assistant tells buyers it is an assistant and hands over on request.
- For the first 14 days every reply is approved by your staff. Autopilot is switched on by the owner, never by us.
- The approach follows Singapore's Model AI Governance Framework and the PDPC's advisory guidelines on personal data in AI systems.
Acceptable use
- No messages to people who have not contacted you or opted in, and no bulk messaging outside WhatsApp's and Telegram's own rules.
- No selling of goods or services that are illegal in Singapore, and no misleading prices or claims.
- No attempts to reach other businesses' data or to test the service's security without written permission.
